We took the National Express coach from Heathrow to Woking and then took the train to Salisbury.We found it very easy even after a sleepless 11 hours flight.There is no sense in making your way in to London and turning around again when the train from Waterloo calls at Woking. Only took 40 minutes from the central bus station last Friday and half that was getting to T5 and on the road You can do this yourself. One option is to catch an early train to Bath from Paddington, do a tour to Stonehenge via MadMax tours (I believe there are other companies which do this) and then spend the rest of your time in Bath. The last train back to London is around 22:45.. If you can get a tour from Bath which offers Stonehenge + Avebury then I would do that, Avebury has much more to offer.
